Nish f21 is a group of photographers who have been sharing a passion for the photographic process, both analog and digital, since 2003. The initial members were taught by a teacher at the Community College of San Francisco, Bob Nishihira, or as he is fondly called, Nish. After this particularly inspirational Intermediate BW course,  it was decided, over drinks at a bar called The 21 Amendment, that a photography group should be created. It is called Nish f21 in honor of the teacher and the bar where the idea for the group was developed. Nish continues as the group’s mentor and invites new members to join as needed. The group meets monthly to share their individual photographic journeys and support each other in the never-ending pursuit of catching that perfect light. They challenge themselves to produce group shows every year so that they may present their work to a larger audience, build their portfolios and for their own personal satisfaction.
